They hold nothing but that choice, they are never read by a third party, and they are only set once you are signed in. We do not store a language preference, a saved dashboard layout or notification preferences, because LNK7 has no such settings.

Marketing and Advertising

These cookies are set only if you accept advertising cookies:

• Campaign tracking: Measure the effectiveness of our marketing
• Conversion tracking: Understand which campaigns lead to sign-ups (LNK7 is free, so nothing is being sold here)
• Ad measurement: Let Google AdSense and the X (Twitter) pixel measure our advertising

analytics_session_id and analytics_visitor_id are our own and first-party. They are only written after you accept analytics cookies, and only on the LNK7 domain you accepted on — your choice is stored per domain, so accepting on app.lnk7.io does not set them on lnk7.io or the other way round. Following a short link never shows you the banner, so a redirect on its own cannot start storing them; they can appear on lnk7.io only if you accepted analytics cookies on a page there that does show the banner, such as a public bio page. They contain a random identifier and nothing else, and they are never shared with a third party.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We work with trusted third-party services that may set their own cookies:

Analytics Services (analytics consent)

• Google Analytics 4: Aggregate site analytics. Loaded in Google Consent Mode, so it stays cookieless until you accept analytics cookies.
• PostHog: Product analytics and feature usage tracking. The script is not loaded at all until you accept analytics cookies, and our server does not send PostHog a page view - or your IP address or user agent - for you either, unless you have accepted them.

Support and Communication (analytics consent)

• Tawk.to: The live chat widget. It sets its own cookies to keep a conversation attached to you, so it is not loaded until you accept analytics cookies.
• Resend: Email delivery for transactional and newsletter email. Sets no cookies on this site.

Advertising (advertising consent)

• Google AdSense: Advertising. Not loaded until you accept advertising cookies.
• X (Twitter) conversion pixel: Advertising measurement. Not loaded until you accept advertising cookies.

Security Services (always on - strictly necessary)

• Cloudflare: DDoS protection and performance optimisation
• Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot protection on our public forms

What we do not use

• No payment processor. LNK7 is free and there is no payment gateway on the site.
• No Hotjar, no session recording, and no cross-site behavioural profiling.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options for controlling cookies:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to:

• View cookies stored on your device
• Delete existing cookies individually or all at once
• Block future cookies from being set
• Set preferences for different types of cookies

Our Cookie Preferences

The Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page - and the Manage Preferences button in the banner itself - opens a panel with one switch per category. It lists exactly the three categories below - there is no fourth - and it names the cookies in each one:

• Strictly necessary cookies: Cannot be disabled. This covers the session, CSRF and "remember me" cookies, your recorded cookie choice, and the two cookies that remember a theme or sidebar choice you made yourself.
• Analytics cookies: Off until you turn them on. Turning them back off clears the ones we can reach from your browser.
• Advertising cookies: Off until you turn them on. Turning them back off clears the ones we can reach from your browser.

Nothing in the analytics or advertising categories - including the analytics we send from our own server - runs until you have accepted that category. The one exception is that once you are signed in to a registered account, we record product usage under our account relationship with you; that path never stores anything on your device and never includes your IP address or user agent unless you accepted analytics cookies. A guest workspace created by the homepage shortener does not count as a registered account.

The analytics_session_id and analytics_visitor_id cookies described above are only ever written after you accept analytics cookies, on the domain you accepted on. A short-link redirect never shows the banner and so can never begin storing them by itself.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" feature that signals websites not to track users. Currently, there is no industry standard for how websites should respond to these signals. We respect your privacy choices and provide clear cookie controls regardless of your browser's Do Not Track setting.

7. Mobile Apps

We do not publish a mobile app. LNK7 is a website, and the same cookie choices apply on a phone as on a desktop.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect:

• Changes in our cookie usage or new technologies
• Legal or regulatory requirements
• Industry best practices and user feedback
• New third-party services we integrate
