Understanding Your Score

2 min read
Updated Oct 20, 2026

Every report gives the page a score out of 100, a letter grade, a score for each of six categories, and a list of fixes ranked by how much each one holds you back.

How the Score Works

Each check is worth a number of points. Your score is the points you earned as a share of the points available, rounded to a whole number. Checks that decide whether an AI assistant can use the page at all - crawler access and readable HTML - are worth the most; polish such as Open Graph tags and llms.txt is worth the least.

  • A - 90 and above
  • B - 75 to 89
  • C - 60 to 74
  • D - 40 to 59
  • F - below 40

Pass, Improve, Fix and Not Checked

  • Pass - full points
  • Improve - partly there, or a recommendation rather than a problem
  • Fix - something is missing or wrong
  • Not checked - we could not read the page, so the check did not run and does not count either way

Every check that is not a pass shows what we found and how to fix it.

Blocked AI Crawlers Count Heavily

Each AI search crawler your robots.txt blocks is an assistant that cannot read or cite the page at all, so each one costs a large share of the crawler-access points. Blocking training crawlers only ever counts as Improve: keeping your content out of model training is a legitimate choice.

Fix These First

The "Fix these first" list shows up to five fixes, ordered by impact and by how many points each would win back. Start at the top.

Re-Check After Each Fix

Signed in, the Re-scan button on a report checks the same address again as a new report, so you can see the score move.

Speed Is Measured From Our Server

The response-time check measures how long your page took to reach us, so it can vary with network conditions. It carries few points.
